Movies evolved into a lifestyle mindset. Let me explain...when world war1 started the state of the Western Hemisphere was bleak at best. The reality of the grapes of wrath existence, definitely opened the way for fantasy seeking among the despairingly hopeless. Having stuff, lots of stuff, beautiful stuff, expensive stuff became the dream of every American. Consumerism would become the new religion. Hollywood the new heaven where every American boy or girl would gladly desire to end up, to become the saints and angels we make out actors to be and we by the hundred of millions would sit at Oscar time to honor our Hollywood diety. We end up copying the movies which end up copying us and so on and so on....you know
