How do you get your cat to stop waking you up in the morning you kick her out of the room but she can open the door?

This woul be impossible. My cat can not open my bedroom door but if he wanted in he would keep pawing the door until it would get soooooooooo anoying that I would finally just open it. Then he runs through my room, jumps around, and meaws at the neiborhood cats. I don't know what to do either. Adding to the first post: This is a frequent complaint of cat owners. Some people use a small water gun to provide negative reinforcement. It's important to remain consistent in not giving the cat what it's looking for in the wee hours (affection, play, food) so that it may realize that waking you up will not produce the desired result. After waking, make an extra effort to provide whatever the cat was looking for in. If the behavior has been in place for a while it could be difficult to break the pattern but it's worth a try. Worst case scenario - buy a lock for your door ;-) I fixed this problem, sorta: I just put them in another room for the night with food/water/litterbox. They also learned to be less nocturnal and learned to just sleep while in there, and play when I let them out to the livingroom in the morning. they do wake up ua few times overnight since I can still sorta hear them if they get rough, but since I have two cats, they keep themselves busy playing together, so I don't worry too much. I'm one of those kinds who CAN'T sleep with even a bit of shake on the bed (like cats jump up and down the bed). I tried to be nice to them, but now the bedroom is completely off limits to them. They are only allowed to enter if the door's open. And sometimes I leave them out in the livingroom for the night for the treat, but the moment they start pawing on the door I put them in their usual night room. And that keeps them from pawing on the door usually, they learn not to paw since they don't want to be in smaller room. I had to do this segregation thing (some people think it's mean but it was inevitable) not because of the sleeping problem but because of the neighbors. I lived in the apartment complex when I first got them and we were on the second floor. These kittens were so excited and soooo playful, and when I just let them loose overnight and such, they'd RUN AROUND EVERYWHERE. It sounded like horses galloping from the 1st floor ceiling... During the day everyone downstairs was out for work/school so it was fine but during night times... yeah... neighbor complaints. Not to mention, even my husband who's a sound-sleeper couldn't sleep because for SOME REASON my kittens didn't quite learn to control speed of their running back then, they'd RUN INTO WALLS AND FURNITURES even while running on the carpet. And We got so worried after one kitten ran into some heavy object on the floor which fell side ways (it takes me quite a push to have it fall side-ways actually, i really wonder how fast she was running to run into it and push it and have it fall sideways! because it's a bottom heavy with broader base... and short object). So We got worried they'd hurt themselves + neighbor complaints, we had to confine them and it kind of made them a little bit sad, but also made them a lot calmer. After that they learned to sleep when we sleep (or at least make an effort to sleep as when we do), and play during the day. And when I let them out in the morning, they're SO DELIGHTED and it makes their day everyday ^_^;;;
