There were a lot more than just four countries making up the "Allies" during WW2, it was closer to 60 or more. Possibly the greatest contributions in manpower and material were made by Great Britain right from the beginning in 1939, and the USSR and the USA from 1941.
It was the US, France, Great Britain, and the USSR. The West side of Germany was a democracy the East was Communist. Berlin was also divided between the 4 countries the just as the country was.
the Soviet Union, France, England, and United States
Let's get something right here: for "England" substitute "United Kingdom", of which England is certainly the biggest and most important part, but don't forget Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland.
Germany was not divided after WW1. Some of its land was under dispute or captured was given back to their original country.
It was World War 2 that divided Germany after their surrender. The four major Allies who took control of Germany was USA, France, Great Britain and Russia. Three of them allowed the Germans some freedom but Russia wanted to punish the Germans. Russia ruled over their portion and it became East Germany. The other parts controlled by USA, France and GB became West Germany.

Germany
They divided Berlin into 4 zones not Germany, Germany was divided into east and west Germany simply due to the hostility of the USSR and western countries keen to keep eastern Europe non communist and vice versa for the USSR. Berlin being in the USSR's half was divided into 4 zone as being the capital it was a important economic and political symbol for Germany, it would be unfair to give it all to one country. Therefore it was divided into 4 zones, among the four "super powers": France, Britain, America and the USSR

Germany NowYou ask the question as if Germany were still at war in 2005. I find that very odd. Germany is a member of NATO and of the European Union, so it has plenty of allies and trading partners. There is some anti-German feeling in many countries, and especially among some younger (!) people in Europe.their closest allies are France, the United kingdom and the United States of America. their enemy that i know of is Afghanistan -2009
Both Germany and Italy were allies of Austria during World War I but Italy didn't like Austria very much. This alliance among Austria, Italy, and Germany was called the Triple Alliance.

Thoroughly modernized and nightmarishly effective, the submarines wielded by Germany causes great losses among Allied merchants and severely restricted sea-borne trade among the same.
During World War I, the United States joined the allies because its neutrality had been violated by Germany -- the leading nation among the "Central Powers," against which the Triple Alliance was fighting. In addition, sympathy in America had largely already moved in the direction of the allies because of the close ties between many Americans and Great Britain.
It can be safely said that because France suffered the most among the Western Allies, France was bent on punishing Germany. Reparations designated to be paid to France was larger than other European nations.
