Supposedly there are bypass modules....some are so that the remote start systems can function with the security system in the car....others are just strictly to bypass the security system intirely. I have seen some websites that sell these modules such as Ebay but there are some more specific car sites that sell them too. I have read a few things on this recently and it looks as though GM has used the Passkey I, II and III systems. The year, make and model of the car depends on what system was used and what type of bypass you will need.
An anti theft device for cars. It disconnects your ignition with a keychain. Without the keychain in, you can't start the car at all.
according to ehow.com there is a resistor built into the key and if the value of the resistor in combination with the other ones in your ignition do not match what is stored in your cars database the system will reject the key. Passkey III is not resistor-based. There is a rfid (radio-frequency id) chip in the black plastic head of the key. When the key is turned to start, the exciter coils in the lock cylinder housing fire the id chip in the key, the theft-deterrent module reads the rf signal and sends a password to the PCM - if the key is recognised the PCM turns the starter and/or fuel pump on and the car starts. If the key is unrecognised or the ignition cylinder is turned without a key inserted (no rfid communication to theft deterrnet module) the PCM disables the starter and/or fuel pump.
nooit depends on the make & model, some newer cars have anti theft on doors.
I'm not sure what it is called but some cars have a computerized system that will parallel park your car without you touching the steering wheel. It may only be in the developmental phase and not actually installed on any cars, yet.
Turn the key into the off position, then turn all the way on with out turning the motor over and let it sit like that for 10 min without touching it. This will reset the anti theft program in the cars computer. After 10 min turn the key to the off position and then try to start the car. It works everytime in this situation. Cars come into my shop all the time for this same issue and other shops stick it to people that are not aware of this common GM defect. I hope this helps and saves you from being ripped of by greedy shops. my car is a Pontiac Aztec 03 and when i shut off the ignition the key stay locked inside the switch where the key goes in, after all that the car turns off automatically and the alarm wont work nor anything inside my car, what should i do so this wont ever happen again?
The theft deterrent systems on modern cars are integrated with the engine and body computers. They can not be disabled. You would be better of repairing the system to work properly than making any any attempts to disable it.
2000 and up Cavalier and Sunfire stock radios work with the cars VIN number as a theft deterrent. It needs to be reset at a dealer.
You cannot, GTA SA has a much lower graphic system then GTA IV, plus the cars in GTA IV have more addons than GTA SA.
yes you!Next Answer:They will be equipped with whatever factory alarm is normal for that particular car.
No.
no grand theft auto is just stealing cars, but felony theft is stealing anything.
NO! THE HEATER CORE IS YOUR CARS HEAT SOURCE YOU CAN BYPASS BUT IS NOT A GOOD IDEAL IN WINTER!
The theft of a movable object is the theft of items such as cars, motorcycles and carts. They are assets not attached to the ground.
either change the computers to match engines that were switched or disconnect the theft system. you will probably need to take it to a good mechanic to have computer recalibrated on a machine
to disable the anti-theft system you hit the window with a tire tool then un bolt the battery then bolt it back it will be disabled P.S. Don't seal cars...... more so ones that are more than your house!!
