The domestic human resource management deals with employees within one nation. The IHRM deals with employees from three nationals: the parent country, the host country and individuals of other nationalities that are hired by the government.

Domestic HR caters the local resources, whereas International Hr caters expatriates.
The intensity of work in domestic HR is low, whereas the intensity of work in International Hr is very high.
The policies of administration in Domestic HR are uniform. There are no standard policies in International HR, policies are altered as per the need.
No special training are arranged in domestic HR. For International HR social cultural training are designed to best train the expatriate.
