The H100 has a flow rate of 20-70 gpm, if you are moving more than 70 gpm then yes, if not, then no.
Heater lines to rear are leaking and I need temporary, emergency bypass.
Nope........... You can bypass it if its leaking and run the vehicle as normal..........
To bypass the heater core you need to remove the two water hoses going through the firewall from the engine compartment to the heater core and connect them together so that the water loops around back to the engine.
could be head gasket problem. does your heater work? might need heater core , clogged up. do compression test. or bypass heater core and see if that works.
You don't need to know what hose is which just take them both off and run a pipe from one to the other. You can but bypass kits at the parts store. GoodluckJoe
yes. You would need to bypass the heater core in order for your coolant to still circulate properly. Check with your locat auto parts store. Some stores actually sell a bypass hose designed for this application. If not, you just need to connect your inlet and outlet hoses at the heater core together so it will circulate. Most auto parts stores will have a barbed fitting to connect them.
Yes, or take one of the hoses loose at the heater core and take it back to the motor on the other one. Shouldn't need a new hose.
Kinda-sorta. Most cars, the heater is part of the cooling system. If you pull the heater hose off you're left with a hole that'll drain the coolant out. If for some reason you want to run a car w/o the heater hose or the heater, you need to make sure that the coolant still can circulate as it's expected. You'll either need to plug something, or run a bypass loop.
Yes you can jus take the hoses from the firewall where they connect to the heater core an fit a hose or pipe in there an get 2 clamps am your good to go till you need heat again
Need to replace the water pump.
It's a heater core, a small radiator for the cars heating system, and not a coil. However, in order to bypass it you just need to find the two hoses leading into the core through the firrewall from the cooling system, cut, and loop them together.
Disconnect the two heater hoses that go through the firewall. Use a piece of pipe or a "funny pipe" union that you can pick up at a sprinkler parts distributor. Use a couple clamps to hold them to the union. Alternatively, you can get two funny pipe plugs and clamp them into place. There are plenty of ways to bypass the heater core. You only need to somehow keep the coolant from leaking. Another option would be to put a "ball valve" in line with the heater hose, that way you could have heat next winter.
