The Industrial Revolution brought forth new technolongy and allowed for superior weaponry. All battle strategies had to change to incorperate the deadly power these arms possessed. With their introduction to the battlefield the body count soared. The ways of life changed with the Industrial Revolution as well. The task of recruiting soldiers was simple because large gathering were much more common and most people lived with the city. The mentality of the people had changed as well, Nationalism and equility spread like wildfire through the working class.
In Europe at the time vast amount of people were leaving family farms and moving to cities to work in industrialized factories. These factories produced goods in an amount and speed that had been previously unknown.
The wages that the workers were paid were insufficient to purchase all the goods that their labor had created. This overproduction of goods led the industrialized European nations to find new markets in which their companies could sell their goods.
This ensuing race to open up new markets (primarily in Africa, Asia, and Central and South America) was done with military force, directed at both the native populations and European competitors.
This state of conflict was mediated by the occasional war and an ever-shifting arrangement of treaties and protection guarantees until the balance of power in Europe was fundamentally shifted by the unification of Germany. But it was the material conditions of overproduction and subsequent violent market expansion that provided the basis for the outbreak of WWI.
Because of Industries all the weapons where made providing ammunitions to the war heads and as-well as the commanders. Than the Industries provided weaponry to the soldiers which resulted in a not ending supply of weaponry and ammos. Then the Industries provided with shield and other supplies for which the soldiers were getting all the supplies and all for the war so you can say that the Industries were one of the biggest support for the countries and the war.
