Wow, you have a job on your hands. I have had the very same trans. rebuilt and put in. I done the job with some help,( took the trans out and put back in), not rebuilding, and you need to brace the engine, from falling, and unbolt the trans from the engine and drop it from the bottom. There's alot to explain, but that's just a bit. you have alot of unplugging of wires and connectors, and bolts. some are difficult to get to, and some are not seen, but they are there. Not a certified mechanic, Not a certified mechanic, so can't remember everything, but that a start. just a hint or a thought. Beings you have the ranny out, you might as well have some of the engine checked as well. the parts on the engine would be easier to get to and it would all be check out before you put it back together so you could rest asure that things are all right. just a thought. I wished I would have done this to mine. Specifically speaking of changing the timing chain, and also checking all the things that are not easy to get to after engine has been put back in place with trans. I wish I had.
You cannot "convert" an AWD transmission to 2WD or vice versa, you'd have to take the whole thing apart.

how do caravanu change ignition switch in 93 dodge
A604/41te
By doing this the engine has a high ratio of working but, the transmission also has a high possibilty of not working so, my thoughts are to just change the engine not the transmission.
The solenoid is on the left hand side facing the engine underneath the block. There are only 3 bolts to change it out and u need to do it from underneath the car. It's right next to the where the transmission connects to the block. good luck
You drain and refill at the transmission from underneath the vehicle.
The filter is inside the transmission and must be took apart to change the filter.
