They got a check engine light when they went to fuel injection. Varies from make and model. Most got it in the mid '80's
If you are referring to push button start almost every manufacture sells cars with this feature.
Its the A/C button for Canadian cars. Or at least for me. If the light by the ECON button is on the A/C is off if the light is off the A/C is off.
