Starch makes rice sticky, so some rice needs to be rinsed. Also, cook with less water if its has been coming out sticky.

For jasmine rice, do not use more than 1.5 cups of water to 1 cup of dry rice; use 1 cup of water to 1 cup of rinsed rice.
