I used to do this to my Honda's It requires that you pull the front wheels. pull the tranny replace the clutch and throughout bearing. Then put it all back together It usually took me 2 days. I imagine a good mechanic can do it in about a 1/2 day. I always did it the hard way (At Home.)
Where is the starter on a 1997 Honda Civic?
5 hours give or take a little.
how long will it take to replace the clutch in my 2002 renault clio
you will have to remove the transmission. once you have the tranny off you can remove and replace the clutch...if you buy a new clutch specific directions will come with it...too long to write here.
Answer: over 1000 hours and you better off to buy American cars. Asian cars designed to give owner more difficult to replace the parts because they want to make more money.
It sounds as though you have a burned out clutch plate. The only way to fix it is to replace it. this involves dropping the gearbox in order to get out the old plate and replace it with a new one.
It will take not very long once it has arrived in the post. Dj Coco (BJC) Wrote this.
That depends on your driving style and the type of journeys you do. Harsh clutch use on short stop/start journeys will knock a clutch out much sooner than smooth use on mainly long motorway trips.
check your clutch fluid lines and your clutch fluid and also bleed the clutch and it should work just fine mine did the same thing and i had to replace a clutch line that was pinched
Clutch safety switch
Take out the old clutch. Place safely out of reach of any children. Pick up the new clutch and stick it in. You might need help from a friend as they can be heavy. Best of luck.
This looks like a rather long process. I suggest you get the Clymer book to answer your questions. Good Luck
