If your supercharger is an Eaton type supercharger and it is making noise that is an early indication that the supercharger might need a rebuild. A lot of times the noise is actually coming from a little coupler that is located in the inside of the supercharger. This coupler has 6 holes in it and over time these rounded holes will wear out and become an oval shape. Once it becomes oval shape the supercharger will start to make a rattle sound. If left untreated the rattle will lead to the bearings going bad and then the seals. You will then need to get a complete rebuilt done on the supercharger.
The coupler is easy to replace. You basically have to take the supercharger noise off with the 6 bolts that holds it and then once the two ends pull a part the coupler will be sitting right there. Just slide the coupler off of the pins and replace it. Then slide the two ends together and bolt it back up. You will also need to refill the supercharger with oil.
Take it to a mechanic.
replace the exhaust.gmjim
You don't have to replace the supercharger you will just have no performence power and bad gas milage, but you will not harm the supercharger. Same thing happen to me, year later I replaced my supercharger belt and supercharger was fine.....dont wait get it fixed dont hurt the GTP!!!!!
Rattling under the hood can be something easy to fix to something bad. It could be loose bolts, bearings, pulleys, or it could be interior in the motor.
Take it to a garage!
Bash it with a rubber mallet while it is rattling. Seriously. Mine stopped.
You probably have a loose blower wheel. Call an AC tech to fix it.
Could be the bearings/pulley. until you fix the issue you should remove the charger belt, so it doesn't get worse (blow the supercharger).

Hey man what you going to have to do is change the couple ling in the supercharger, there is 3 holes that hold it in place and for what you say they have way to much play in them, that is where that noise comes from, the misfire comes from the supercharger not engaging so this will fix the problem and is very easy to change is a no brainier so good luck, here is the web site you can buy from www.zzperformance.com/grand_prix/index.php let me know how it goes.
The diagram depends on the year of the vehicle. The repair manual should have a accurate diagram for it and directions on how to fix the issue.
Your best bet is to contact Vortech directly at 805-247-0226. They pretty much are the only people that can fix their own superchargers.
