Gravity bleeding is, in theory, a method of removing air from hydraulic passages (flex hoses, steel lines, etc) by using gravity to push fluid downward through these passages.

Hydraulic clutch systems can be gravity bled by loosening the bleeder screw at the slave cylinder and allowing the fluid to drain (into a container), making sure to keep the fluid level in the reservoir at least half full. Once the fluid is draining consistently, tighten the bleeder screw and top off the reservoir. It is very important that the reservoir does not go dry, so keep an eye on the fluid level.

ANSWER

LOOSEN WHEWHERE THE BLEEDER ON THE SLAVE CYLINDER LET IT DRIP UNTIL NO BUBBLES, DOUBLE OR TRIPPLE FLUID LOSS THE SIZE OF YOUR RESERVOIR JUST TO MAKE SURE,ITS BETTER YOUR SAVING BOTH PUMPS THAT WAY OR VACUUM BLEEDER HAND PUMPS LIKE DEALER JOBS CLUTCH FEEL,THE MAIN JOB IS NO LEAKS ON THEM FLUID PIPES EITHER WAY THEY SHOULD BOTH WORKS OK,HOPE THIS HELPS

Where and how do you adjust the clutch on a 94 escort?

The clutch can't be adjusted. It is an hydraulic clutch. The clutch pedal sends pressure from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder on the clutch. IF you are having trouble with it the thing to do is bleed the air out at the slave cylinder. Have an assistant pump the clutch and hold it to the floor. Then open the bleed valve on the slave cylinder to let the air out of the system. On the final bleed hold the clutch to the floor and close the bleed valve on the slave cylinder. The clutch master cylinder operates of the brake fluid reservoir. Make sure you keep this full of brake fluid as you bleed the clutch.
