Copied from another answer, but probably similar: Place a jack under tank to support the tank. Remove fuel tank straps. Slowly lower tank. When able to reach in, diconnect all electric lines and fuel lines. Continue to lower tank and remove. Helpful hint, hope the tank is nearly empty.

You'll need to take the fuel tank down, but you have to be careful to disconnect the wire connection on the top of the tank before it comes all the way down.

I don't remember if the 1994 was on the front of the engine or was in the fuel tank. If it is on the front of the engine it's about $150.00. If it is in the fuel tank the pump costs about 300.00 and labor is about $150.00.

Empty the fuel tank, disconnect your battery (+ and -), take down the tank, disconnect the connector of the sender and the 2 fuel pipes. Then unscrew the sender assembly out of the tank. You have the pump, the strainer and the level sensor.
You listed this in a Chevrolet suburban category so I assume that is what you have. On the Chevrolet suburban you must drop the fuel tank in order to access the fuel pump. There possibly could be an access panel above the tank inside the vehicle so be sure and take a look, but it is doubtful.
