A good listener and polite but firm communicator with a thorough knowledge of the service you are providing in order to give Customers options if their primary request can't be granted. Timely response if you say you will get them an answer or get back to them, so attention to detail is very important and making sure you are a good completer of tasks. Negotiation can be useful in certain circumstances. Don't be afraid to say you don't know and you will check something out, nobody likes to be fed dis-information or the wrong information. Thinking quickly on your feet can be very useful when facing unexpected situations. People respect other people that shown respect, a desire to help other people out, having integrity and being seen as trustworthy, you are more likely to have follow on business. Giving a great service and always looking to improve and get better, not thinking you know it all. A good memory for existing Customers can also help. Requesting feedback can help you self analyse. Motivation and being a self starter can help. You must enjoy what you are doing, otherwise what is the point of doing it and find something else you do enjoy.
