Trying to change a water pump how do you remove the fan on a97 dodge ram 1500 5.9?

i just changed mine on a 96 ram w/ 360. in order to get the fan off you can leave the water pump on and leave the belt tightened and bust it loose that way or if you already took it off like i did, put the water pump in a vice and use a chisel and hammer and the nut will bust loose. hope this helps
