There are no Buffalo in Western New York and the city of Buffalo except for at the zoo and farms. There are no wild Buffalo roaming. There are statues of Buffalo around the area, but that's about it! Buffalo was not named after Buffalo. It was named Beautiful after the Native American who settled here and had trouble saying the word Beautiful. Over time it sounded like Buffalo and the name stuck to give you the short story.
