Constantine's home was considered to be Constantinople which today is called Istanbul.

- Some Christians insist that only those who 'know Christ' can reach heaven. Others believe that Christ can be understood in different ways, and still bring about redemption. Some Christians do not like the terms "religion" and "Christian," because they do not believe that their faith constitutes a religion. Paradoxically, the Book of Revelations suggests that there are strictly limited places in Heaven, for 144,000 Jewish people.

Clearly the two religions differ on many core beliefs. Again, remember there are many other differences; the above is only a partial list.

It is, of course, true that Christianity began as a tiny fringe sect within Judaism. But the followers of Jesus were not Christians in the sense that we use that word today. Many of the Christian doctrines did not develop until later, by which time Christianity was already a non-Jewish faith.

The final and irrevocable parting of the ways between the faiths came when Christians deified Jesus. At that point, Christianity was endorsing a belief that is blasphemy for any Jew, because in Judaism no human can ever be divine or on a par with God.

As religions, I may say:

Judaism is founded to be applied on a group and as a system ruled by God, supervised by a religious authority (ruled like in ordinary man-made systems but with a different set of laws). Under this system, the main goal of the Jews is to survive as a group and let it be the best one among all others. A good Jew is the one who succeeds to be just in helping his group to keep progressing by following/applying their natural instincts properly as commanded by the Jewish God and his chosen servants (Jewish leaders).

Jesus has founded a Church for individuals. So whoever is given a soul, has a good reason to understand Jesus teachings in order to know how to feed it by loving (in the sense of doing good and helping) all others by his body while alive. Only by doing this, his soul can join the eternal Divine Kingdom of The Father, The Son and the Spirit of the Divine Love, the Holy Spirit. Otherwise, also his soul will have to return back to void since no joy of true love was able to be developed in it.

Christianity branched away from Judaism during the time after the death of Jesus. Christians fixed on the belief that Jesus was the Messiah. The Jews believed he as a good man but not divine.
