Use a straight 30wt oil of your choice. It does depend on if it is the old flat head valve engines, or the new over-head valve engines, which is because of the new EPA laws....all flat heads use 30 hd... the over-head valve engines 10-w30, although prefrence is your own, Briggs & Strattons oil is actually Mobil 1, ( I seen that when I toured Briggs & Strattons factory while working for Central Distributors of Briggs.) Briggs & Stratton recommends the use of SAE 30w detegent oil with an automotive rating of "SJ" or higher when ambient air temperatures are 40 degrees or higher. Under 40 degrees it is acceptable to use a 10w-30 or 5w-30 depending on the weather, but air cooled engines run hotter than liquid cooled so check and change oil frequently. It is also acceptable to use a SYNTHETIC 5w-30 oil year round, but the oil must be changed as often as regular engine oil.

The correct gap for the spark plug of a Briggs and Stratton 6.75 Lawnmower engine 0.030. Most new plugs come with that gap, but it is best to check to make sure.

The company has production facilities in various locations, including Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, and Poplar Bluff, Missouri. However, it's essential to note that the status and locations of manufacturing may change, so it's advisable to check the latest information from the company or reliable sources for the most current details on Briggs & Stratton engine production.
Absolutely not. Briggs & Stratton recommends you use nothing heavier than SAE 30 weight oil. Briggs says that SAE 5w30 Full Synthetic provides the best protection, easy starting, and less oil combustion in all temperatures. That is exactly what I would use.
