I think you've just about had your money's worth out of that little feller. Replace all that floor pan and you're going to find the crossmembers are rotted, so it will fail inspection anyway. And just how many miles do you expect to squeeze out of that little 3 cylinder engine after you've done it all?
Well,it's a FOUR cylinder, and thefloor can be replaced,i replaced mine from yhe firewall to the back door, and the rockerpanels, don't give up.Of course I did all the work myself,if I had to pay someone I would have got another one and kept T2 for parts.
Yes, unless it is rusted so badly as to be deemed unsafe to drive.
Some older cars can have the old floor cut out and a replacement panel can be purchased to weld in. This can be done either as a whole new floor, or bits and pieces. Another way is to cut out a template of the rusted area using cardboard, then cut a metal replacement piece out of sheet metal and cut the rust out and replace it with new metal. If you look up Stacy davids gearz on youtube there is a video on how to make a patch panel. This is very similar to what you are looking to do.
There is a good chance that the heater core has rusted out. This is a little radiator inside the passenger compartment for transferring heat from the engine coolant to the air in the cabin. Always fun to replace.
Several different parts suppliers carry replacement panels that will either need to be pop-riveted or welded into place to repair rusted ones. Search the internet & Jeep forums & I bet you will find some documentation about someone who has done it.
Weld new ones in Riveted sheet metal works good also.
1) a damaged floor pan . 2) a rusted floor pan . 3) it's not coming from outside, the heater core is leaking.
can i get money to help me replace my rotten kitchen floor. i am on disability.
Get a professional to do it.
If you are wanting to fold up the seat for more cargo space the handle on my 96 Geo Tracker is on the rear center floor latch. You get to it from the rear door.
He tripped over the bucket while mopping the floor. The old well used a rusted bucket to bring up water.
Friction can be extremely irritating, for example if you are trying to open a rusted door or slide along a carpeted floor without stopping once.
