Cars have a "U" joint in the steering shaft and that is probably dry causing the noise. It won't hurt anything dry but you can lube it by taking it apart if you want to. Would this dry "U" joint on the steering shaft make noise ALL THE TIME, or only upon first turn of the steering wheel?
Power Steering Fluid Or Power Steering Pump
Either it's the wrong key, the steering wheel is jammed hard against the steering wheel lock or the key mechanism has failed.
It may be in need of lubrication.
