Most cocoa is grown in West Africa, especially the Ivory Coast (Cote D'Ivoire) - where it is linked to the use of child slave labor. It is also grown in Brazil and Indonesia and some other countries.

Cocoa is grown in many places now day but the Cocoa itself is a native from south America. The bigger Caribbean Islands such as Cuba and Dominican Republic have a variety of Cocoa that is somewhat smaller than the Brazilian Cocoa.
