the oil pressue sensor should be in the rear of the motor just behind the manifold there are several types but a 1 wire or hose should hook up to it I was afraid of that -- that's what the Chilton's manual says, too, but it doesn't tell me whether I have to remove the distributor (and I can't see anything that looks litke the new sensor I have). Do you know? Ding, ding, ding, we HAVE a winner!! I found it -- for anyone else in search of the elusive little thing, it's UNDER the distributor cap.
Fuel rail pressure sensor fault. Most usually an out of range fault caused by a plugged fuel filter, bad fuel pump or faulty sensor. (In that order)
Where is located pressure sensor on Chevy Malibu 1999
The oil pressure sensor on a 1988 Chevy 1500 5.7 is located on the engine. It is on the right side, near the intake manifold.
The tank pressure sensor is usually located on the top of the fuel pump assembly.
It is behind the distributor at the firewall.
The front o2 sensor is just to the left of the battery. It's a little tube with a wire that is plugged in right before the exhaust pipe.
The sensor for the temp gauge in the 96 S10 4.3L would be the sensor located between #3 and #5 spark plugs, it has one wire plugged to it. The temp sensor for the ECM is located next to the thermostat housing, it has two wires plugged to it.
