Looking face on at your engine, the egr valve is to the left and a bit forward from the power brake fluid resevoir. It is to the left of the power brake booster. There should be an electrical component right on top - it will have the Chrysler logo on it if it is still factory part. Hope this helps. there are actually two components involved with the 95 neons egr a mechincal valve and the electrical components, the best way to get to the egr is to remove your cars air filter and battery, it takes a little work but loosen the bolts to your batter box remove the fuse box from the back (this is accomplished by just pressing the two tabs and pulling up on the fuse box) once you are this far start lifting the battery box you will find that the cruse control module is mounted to the bottem this can be removed by removing the two 10mm mounting bolts. pull the battery box out of the car. if you look just to the right and under your cars throttle body there is a long metal tube running to the back of the motor follow this and presto theres the egr, it has a black electrical/vacume box on the top of it which works with the egr it self check the electrical connections and vacume lines, your best bet is to replace it if yours starts malfunctioning remove the egr there are 4 10mm bolts two under the throttle body and two more in the back by the valve, you can remove the carbon desposits and lube up the valve and try to use it again personally i'd order or make a block off plate and just take the egr off the car you use a little more gas but for horse power hogs and people have a lot of problems with them its a simple way to solve the issue, e-mail me if you have any other questions
Doesn't exist on an 02 neon
The EGR valve on a Dodge Neon is located on the intake manifold. You will find the EGR valve by removing the air intake plenum, the air filter, the air filter housing, and flex hose that leads from the housing to the throttle valve.
95 Chevy impala egr valve removal
The EGR valve on a 95 Isuzu Rodeo is located on the back top of the engine. It resembles a cylinder.
Normal cause if a failed egr valve.
It needs a new EGR valve.
On the Head itself.
The Saturn EGR valve is attached to the head, directly above the transmission bell housing.
no they dont. the older ones did.
It is on the side of the head, over the transmision.
egr valve is located on right side rear of motor next to distributor
EGR Valves for 95-99 dodge neons are bolted to the transmission side of the cylinder head; below and to the right of the cam position sensor. It has 2 rubber vacuum hoses and a steel tube that connects it to the intake manifold below the throttle body. Do not confuse the EGR valve with the Electronic EGR Transducer which can be identified by the electrical connector, the EGR valve does not have any electrical connectors attached to it.
