Why do some people hate Mexicans?

Every society worries about their own livelihood.

When new people, immigrants, come to an area they bring different custom's and culture. This culture has language and lifestyle's. Some of these lifestyle's add to the betterment of society and some don't. What causes issue for immigrants is either the greed of one group of leader's afraid to lose power to another, new, group, which happened when the Irish, Polish, Italian, Chinese and every other ethnic group came to America. Or the fear of the workers losing their job, or part of their wage to the 'new group' coming in.

Add to this illegal immigrants who come to a country without regard of the laws or rights of the people that live there legally. This put's another whole strain on society, mainly because the people coming in illegally hold no real value for the ways of the society they are coming into and the society they are entering believes that they are only here to take and not add to the society because of the illegal way they entered. Remember anyone that leaves one society for another is in essence an immigrant.

They look at them as inferior and people like to be mean.
Not everyone hates Mexicans and people of Mexican descent.

People who do hate them probably do so because they're against Immigration from Mexico, or are just plain prejudiced and bigoted.

Some Americans hate Mexican people because many are willing to work for lower wages than Americans themselves are willing to. As a result, this influx of workers lowers the rate of pay for many unskilled workers.

A part of the hate comes from a sense of entitlement. People who live and work in worse off conditions partially help create lower conditions for everyone else, due to market pressures among other reasons.

I would like to say, the only "Americans" who have the right to be afraid of immigrants are the natives. Seeing as most modern Americans who are descended from the original settlers, are descendants of immigrants (more precisely, criminals from Britain)

Immigrants are often viewed as being less than useful to the country and the community, as stealing jobs from honest citizens, as being "not proper humans", because (and this is sadly true in some areas) they raise the level of crime and unemployment in the region, and also because of simple xenophobia.

Because our society is full ignorant human beings. People that are racist usually are this way because of the way they're raised. Family and peers are the ones who influence an individual the most since they are around these people the most. Fear could also be another factor. Fear of differences and change. Since immigrants are from different parts of the world, they are usually a different tone of skin, have different accents, and look different in their physical appearances. Because of this society tends to judge and assume things. Also will make ignorant and rude comments to offend the individual. The only reason being that we look different is because of different climates and altitude levels. Human beings adapt to the setting in which we are put it. It's the way we survive. If we all lived in the same geographic setting we would all look the same. So why judge individuals that don't look like you? That just shows how ignorant we as human beings still are aside from all the achievements we've had and advancements we've made throughout history.

A large amount of immigrants to the US are there illegally. Because of this unfair presence and the problems it can cause for legitimate citizens, many see any immigrant as a valid target.

Immigrants have been targets of discrimination in nearly every culture and every land. The problem is by no means unique to the United States; in fact, it is probably less here than in many other places.

The hatred occurs because of fear and misunderstanding. A lot of people fear immigrants because they truly believe that they are here to steal "their country" and take "their jobs". Some people truly believe that immigrants bring gang violence, poverty, and are a burden to tax payers.

None of these things are true, although there are some exceptions, it cannot be justified against a whole population.

Be a rational person and treat immigrants like you would treat anybody else.
