there is one screww on the driver side cowl near the center. Take out that screw and both sides of the cowl should just pop out.
they are hinges, just unhinge them
Usually by disconnecting the wiring (often by disconnecting weatherpack terminals) and removing the hinges.
You have to drive the pins out after removing the retainer clips. The hinges are welded to the door and to the body.
BIG JOB! The welds have to be drilled out to remove the original hinges. The door side hinge half can be installed thru the inside of the door by removing the door panel. The post side hinge halfs are very difficult. The entire dash assembly needs to be removed to gain access to the upper hinge half.
The blower motor resistor on a 1993 Nissan Altima is behind the glove compartment on the passenger side of the vehicle. To access the blower motor resistor, the glove compartment can be removed by lowering the bottom as much as possible and removing it from the hinges.
