1989 FORD F150 what is the procedure for removing the windshield wiper cowl I can't seem to lift the cowl up past the hood hinges. Does the hood have to be removed first in order to remove the cowl?

there is one screww on the driver side cowl near the center. Take out that screw and both sides of the cowl should just pop out.
