Note before installing all head bolts should be checked with a Cummins guage # 3823921. It is very important to follow the number sequence for the head bolt pattern. 1991 the head bolt thread engagement changed. The cylinder head MUST be tightened by using the three-step "torque plus angle" method as described in the Cummins manual. So please go to your local dealer and ask them for a copy from their manual or give them the serial number so they can look it up & print from their computor. It may take a little more of your time but do it right the first time.
