1990 4runner v63.0 4x4 5 speed when traveling on freeway you lose power dies but lights stay on radio stays on gauges cut out to 0 rpm you must bump start it or just wait and power to restore?

There's a product made by Maguire's called Plastix that will remove any scratches on the instrument panel lenses. I use it on my 03 Limited 4runner, including the headlight and tailight lenses. Cheers,

'check gauges' means one of your dash warning gauges went beyond normal paramaters, alerting a problem... my guess is- it's your oil pressure gauge....CHECK YOUR OIL level... if the level is low, when the truck leans (as when you exit an off ramp) the oil pressure will drop.

Gauges are generally tuned to tension on wires, if they gets tweaked the gauges can easily become faulty.
