1995 1.8 Mirage When rains it will not start and the battery goes dead after a few cranks you changed the battery took a water hose and wet down the engine did not flood it and now it will not start?

Check your distributor cap. Mine was cracked and every time it rained the car wouldn't start. We replaced it and the car started every time. I don't think it's a good idea to wet down your engine, though.

You need a battery. There's a very small chance it could be something else, but from the symptoms you describe it is more than likely a bad battery.

Starter won't crank over engine? Battery or battery connection issues. Starter cranks over engine but engine won't start? Being a GM product I would suspect fuel delivery problems (bad fuel pump).
