1995 2.3 Cavalier-blew head gasket-got valve job has spark compression and fuel but won't start just cranks why would this be can't understand it?

Sounds like the timing may be off or the plug wires were not re-routed correctly and the firing order is incorrect. Also check for a burnt-out fusible link in the starting circuit. check your timing the crank has to line up with the cams
