air-fuel-spark, those are the three things you need to check and eliminate as the cause one by one until only one remains, then you will know what to concentrate on fixing.
fire red black
Hey Jrey==It can be either fuel or fire. It needs to be checked out by a mechanic. GoodluckJoe

voltage reulater is usually a built in part of the alternator. if not in alternator it will be on the fire wall On a 1992 it is part of the engine computer.
AnswerWhat computer?I have a 1990 jeep wrangler with throttle body injection -found the computer hanging above the glove box- there are four nuts that hold the hold on bar and glove box. Then go to the fire wall to the right side of the battery box and the internal bracket is held there by two nuts to the fire wall. The computer can then slide out, be unplugged and exchanged.
I just put one on the rear tire fender next to the rear seat. it looks nice and its out of the way.
Do you mean the spark plugs are not producing spark? Or do you mean the engine turns over but does not start? Check battery terminals, fuses, and the starter. I had this problem on my 98 wrangler. it was the starter selinoid. 1. get under your jeep 2. located the starter(passenger side on the side on the transmission near the engine block) 3. tap it with a wrench or a hammer(don't bang on it, just a solid tap) while someone tries to crank it. If it starts its your starter assembly. They are about $150-$200
probably have a bad crank sensor, so the computer isn't being told when to fire the plugs
Against the fire wall above the starter on the right side of the vehicle. looks like a big bolt with a electrical connection.
ok i have a 1986 jeep cherokee it wont start from the key in side it turns over but dosent fire up an its got (gas an fire) it will start if you pull start it an it has a carb
