Likely a real bad ring job otr a broken ring(piston ring). To come out the exhaust the oil has to get past the piston rings, then that which is not burnt in combustion(causing) the smoke, exits thru the exhaust manifold and hence to the tail pipe.
an exhaust flange gasket, is the gasket, commonly called a donut that is used to seal where the exhaust pipe is bolted to the exhaust manifold
Under hood, driver side, rear engine area, above exhaust pipe flange, mounted in exhaust manifold.
If your 1988 Chevrolet Celebrity has the V6 engine the oxygen sensor is in the middle of the exhaust manifold nearest the firewall. If you have the 4 cylinder engine the oxygen sensor is located in the exhaust manifold just above the exhaust pipe flange.
Bank 1: Backside of the engine, mounted in the exhaust manifold, above the exhaust pipe flange Bank 2: Backside of the engine, mounted in the exhaust pipe (below bank 1 sensor) Bank 3: Frontside of the engine, mounted in the exhaust manifold
On Lycoming engines the exhaust pipes have a welded steel flange that seats over a copper gasket with 2 studbolts directly onto the outlet port of the engine.

Jack Screw is a sistem for dissasembling. The diference is that the flange has threathed holes where a bolt is installed.
Unbolt from the block & take the nuts off studs to exhaust flange. You will need a new gasket for the block & a new one for the flange.
Ok. It's mounted on an exhaust manifold flange in the lower area of the engine toward the front center.
