Are you refering to the rear anti-lock bracking system module? If, so; Control Module is located on the firewall just inboard of the master cylinder. 1. Disconnect the wiring hardness. 2. Remove the 2 attaching screws and lift out the module. 3. Installation is the reverse of removal.
On a 2000 Ford Expedition the ABS Relay problem is a problem with the braking system. Either the ABS Relay needs to be replaced or the brake pads are worn down. The ABS Relay is located in the fuse box that is on top of the battery in the engine compartment.
The 2000 Ford Windstar ABS relay switch is located on the firewall in the engine compartment. The relay switch will be on the passenger side of the engine compartment.
A 2004 Ford Expedition would have four wheel ABS brakes
The manual say's fuse 15 and 23 for a 2000 expedition.
If you have a RWD Expedition, I see two different part numbers for front left and right abs wheel speed sensors. If you have 4WD the front wheel speed sensors are the same.
how do you check the abs sensor on a 1998 contour
It is important to know where the fuses and relays are in a vehicle. The ABS relay in a 99 Ford Windstar is located in a fuse box under the hood.
Might be part of the wheel bearing.
I believe that is in the relay box , in the engine compartment , BETWEEN the battery and the drivers side fender . The ( 2 ) larger relays are the ABS pump relay and the ABS main relay ( NOT the power distribution box / it's called relay module # 3 )
There should be a fuse and relay legend in the drivers manual.
If you want to just disable the ABS then you can pull out the fuse for the ABS relay. The only thing is the ABS light will show on the dash.
If you disconnect the ABS module, the system will default to conventional brakes, but the ABS light will be on.
