I have the same problem.. my 95 grand Cherokee ltd v8 5.2 just happened the other day. i was told it might be either the oil pressure sending unit? or the rear main seal which i disbelieve.
You may be hearing the vacuum pump near the driver side fender...which is normal
its run on road for 5 min then rpm fluctuates and quit, seems when engine is warmed...and will not restart till cool down.
Reptiles' body temperature fluctuates according to their surrounding air temperature. In cold temperatures (pre-dawn) snakes will be torpid, and only active once the rising sun has warmed the snake up.
You could have a problem with your fuel injection synchronizer. It could also just chirp until it is warmed up a bit which doesn't mean anything.
If the transmission in a 1998 Jeep Cherokee skips second gear when it's cold, the bands might need to be adjusted. There could also be an issue with the rear clutch.
Had the same problem, try changing the plug wires, it worked for mine
If you see white steam from exhaust pipe after warmed up you most likely have a head gasket problem.
Problem with the choke or cold start injector system.
The whole world is warmed by the sun.
i have an 84 tercel with the same problem, it takes alittle gas to keep her goin but once warmed up it runs great, i fix a few small vacuum leaks and that helped alot but i still have the problem, let me know if you find the culprit
It is most likely the fuel pump main relay. It is a very common problem on civics.
