A couple of things could have happened. You could have damaged the fuel pump. to check this, take the fuel line loose at the handiest place, turn the engine as if cranking to see if fuel is comming out. If there was debris in the tank you may have clogged the fuel pump filter in the tank and last you may have clogged the inline filter.
There is no 2000...Trac's start at 2001.

Your starter is bad and needs to be replaced. If you need it to start it, you might be able to by tapping it with a hammer very slightly. This will unstuck it just enough for it to start the vehicle, but it definitely needs replacement.
had to replace mine on my 96 explorer ,it will start for a second then stop,rough idling,thought it was my timiing replaced it now it runs great. ----------------- Check the fuel pressure also.
Type in "explorer" in your start menu and click on explorer with the document icon.
I can assure you that the O2 sensors will not prevent the enigne from starting, even if they are disconnected or removed. Something else is the culprit.

Check your ingnition cylinder ...
If it is a v6 motor left side of trans on starter if it clicks when trying to start sometimes you can peck on starter motor to get started but will stop working again will need replaced
