ALTHOUGH THERE MAY BE A LEAK IN THE HOSES OR THE PUMP RESRVOIR,

YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT A COMMON PROBLEM ON THAT CAR IS THE STEERING

BOX SHAFT FAILS FROM WITHIN: THE STEERING BOX ON THE TOWNCAR HAS

SEALS THAT FAIL DUE TO AN INTERNAL FAILURE WITHIN THE BOX. THE

SHAFT MOVES IN AN OVAL PATTERN, NOT THE PROPER CIRCULAR PATTERN IT

SHOULD, WHILE TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL. WHEN YOU FILL UP THE

STEERING FLUID, IT HOLDS FULL. AS SOON AS YOU START TURNING THE

WHEEL OR SOON THEREAFTER, IT USUALLY GUSHES OUT AS THE SEAL IS

MOVED IN AN OVAL NOT CIRCULAR DIRECTION DUE TO THE WORN PARTS. THIS

IS WHY YOU SEE NO PUDDLE UNDERNEATH, IT ALL GUSHED OUT TOWARDS THE

ROAD SURFACE. IT RARLY IF EVER GUSHES UPWARDS. IN SHORT, MOST

LIKELY YOU WILL NEED TO REPLACE THE STEERING BOX.
