92 acura integra when im driving the s3 light flashes What is wrong?

I have the same problem with my 1990 Acura Integra. It does not happen all the time just once in a great while. I think it either has to do with the vacum lines or somthing along those lines. Once i shut my car off and turn it back on it always stops.

I have this problem with my automatic 1993 Acura Integra. I read in my owners manual that this has something to do with the transmission. I called my friend who is a mechanic at a Honda dealership and he told me it is probably an issue with the transmission switch, not the entire transmission. He says it is an easy fix. When the S3 is blinking on the dash, you need to stop trying to start your car and give it a few minutes to chill out. Then turn your key to "on" but without actually starting your car. Put your foot on the break and begin to move your shift up and down slowly. This will insure that you do not have a stick between the engine and the transmission. With the car "on" but not started, continue to move the shifter up and down a few more times. Put it in neutral, with your foot still on the break, and start the engine. This will not work permanently, but will get you from A to B for a little longer. I am taking my car in next week to replace the transmission switch, and its not going to cost more than $100 to get it fixed. I suggest you try this.
