If all the door lock buttons on the interior have quit working, it could be a few things.
The first and least expensive possibilities are fuses. There should be a door locks fuse (15 amp) in your interior fuse block pull that fuse and check its condition, if it is blown replace it. Assuming that fuse is in good condition there should be an additional fuse in the under hood fuse block the abbreviation should mir/lcks most likely a 3 amp fuse check its condition and replace if necessary.
Third possibility is a wire has wore through within the boot at your drivers door. Pull the boot loose inspect the wires and repair any that appear wore through.
The fourth and most expensive possibility would be the door lock control module located within the drivers side door.
If the locks and rear window hatch on a 1998 Chevy Blazer lock and unlock by themselves, there is probably a problem with the fuse or a short somewhere. The locks are supposed to lock when the vehicle gets put in gear. Perhaps the system that tells the locks when to lock is not working properly.
You take it to an auto shop and have them do it
check the fuse box, could be that easy sorry... they are all on one fuse
Check your fuses.
They have probably stopped because they are stripped or a wire got disconnected. It happened to my SUV and the back locks were stripped. It also doesn't help if you use them a lot.
the security system for the radio has "locked" my radio. how do i un-do that? i do not have the security/locks pod for the vehicle.
The Blazer was discontinued from production after the 2005 model year, and was replaced by the TrailBlazer. That being said, you have a short to ground somewhere in the circuit.
First, check your fuses.
It's not that the key fob stopped working, but, if your car battery is dead, it's the car that has no power to pop the door locks.
yes, it is a fuse it will be labled int. lights/ horn on the fuse box
wipers,headlights,speedometer,door locks,air conditioner,electric mirrors, stopped working
My door locks stopped working and I pulled the IOD fuse and reset it back after starting the vehicle. Now all locks work great to include the remote process. The IOD is mapped on the lid of the fuse box.
