Often when the airbag light comes on, it is due to a loss of contact with the contact ends inside the center of the steering wheel. Or it may be intermittent as with turning left or right. The fix is to open up the steering wheel or remove it, and either repair or replace the ends where they make contact. Vehicles with airbags, you need to disconnect the battery pos and neg cables and let it sit for a little while so the residual charge in the system dissipates. Otherwise the risk of airbag deployment can be very real and very dangerous. If it is determined that it isn't a connectivity issue, then there is an issue with the airbag itself or the electronics of the system. It should be looked at by someone who is familiar with airbags. Hope this helps.
It will say SRS. Should come on for a few seconds when you turn the ignition on.

The light is on because there is a problem with the air bag system. The light will remain on until it is fixed. Once the problem is fixed the light will reset itself.
Driver side air bag connectors under seat faulty or dirty and not making contact
