Are the parts to Jeep Grand Cherokee expensive?

the parts are no more or less expensive than any other vehicle. I have both Limited and Laredo Grand Cherokees and do my own work on them. To be honest, the most expensive "parts" tend to be tires, which is typical with any "truck" type vehicle, as you are looking at about 200 dollars a piece ball park figures mounted and balanced, and on a fourby you dont generally replace just two at a time, you typically do all four at once to maintain four wheel traction. But this is true of ALL 4x4 vehicles. Also 4x4s also have more parts to maintain and more to go wrong if it isnt maintained or if it is beat up by bad driving habits. IF you are serious about a 4x4, and the price is in your budget, the body is not trashed, the interior is good, have it looked at by a mechanic you trust. If they give it a thumbs up go for it. Remember this, there are a LOT of Horror stories about JGCs out there, about this or that going bad, BUT when compared to the MILLIONS that were produced and sold, these numbers suddenly become rather insubstantial. My first 'rokee was a 76 Cherokee S, and I have been driving them since as well as the smaller classic sized Jeep, Of which I also currently have.
