If you can and will work on a car, they're good cars. The newest Volkswagen Beetle in the United States is 29 years old and most are well over 30, so they require a lot of maintenance. Keep up on it, and the car is reliable. If you can't or won't work on a car, don't get one because you'll be stranded a lot.
Both the old and the new Beetles will handle snow well due to them both having the engines over the drive wheels. Front wheel drive cars (new Beetles) and rear engine rear wheel drive cars (classic Beetles) have excellent traction in rain and snow. Getting a good tire will help either of these cars in ice and snow, get a good ice and snow rated tire.
Classic VW Beetles can be purchased from many different car dealers, though the model tends to be rare. A good website to check first for available cars is OldBug.
if ur talking about the VW then no.

VW Beetles are very nice cars with decent fuel economy. I would suggest it for a first car. The fuel economy on average is about 25 MPG or so. The only bad thing about them is that in the winter, they don't get very good heat. Great car though.
The 2003 VW Beetles did not use a radiator in their cars. Instead they had air cooled rear engine. Radiators were not used until 2004.
Volkswagen Beetles have 4 cylinders.

The VW Beetles commonly referred to as Shamu Cruisers were created by Craftsman Industries.
