Try taking out the glovebox, and reach around to the left..there's a bracket mounted to the back of the stereo,should be one nut threaded onto a bolt coming out the back of the stereo. It's not fun to get to,so be prepared to get scratched up and use lots of foul language! You will probably have to go to Radioshack or Bestbuy and get a conversion wiring kit. Kev
Remove the lens, and the mounting screws are at the back of the box.
There are screws in between the slats of the vent cover.
Screws in the bottom hold it onto the floor.
take the four screws of that hold on the lens cover and remove it. if you look inside there will be 3 torks screws. remove those. and that's it.
remove the top dash panel closest to the windshield, then remove mounting screws for dash module.
There are two screws on each side holding the light pods. Unscrew the screws and lift out the pod, remove the bulb by undoing the screws inside holding the pod together...get bulb out by twisting from socket.
you have to remove the panle on the outside of the jeep between the hood and the windshield. 4 screws.
remove the glass by undoing the screws at the front of the machine pull up the black hand rest and slide the glass out
There are screws going through the bottom into the floor, should be about 6 in the front, middle, and back of the inside of the console.
The previous answer was a bit of a dick answer. There are three screws. You have to pull out the front cup holder and remove that screw (might take some work as mine had some glue on the end of it). Then remove the rubber bottom of the back cup holder and remove those two screws (torx screws, so you have to have the right tool). After that, you can pull the console out.
Above the oil filter, where it screws on. You'll need a special socket to remove/install a new one.
I am pretty sure you have the toggle style switch, remove the lower dash bezel, and the switch is connected to the metal frame with 2 screws.
