Maybe, 95 windstar has a different plug for transmission shift and the netrual safety switch ,But the plug for the trans can be changed, also you must have both in front of you to compare.95-97 ,98-01,your trans is an AX4N and uses syn fluild,,the car computer makes the trans shift.95 is an AX4S,I think it will work but as always you will have things to deal with.

haynes repair manuals are good but you can go to autozone.com and they have online repair manuels as well it a good site for a lot of information on repair work.
I am not sure what you mean by the radiator bypass. But it sounds like you have a loss of vacuum to your AC/heater control. When you have no vacuum to the control, it defaults to defrost. There is only one vacuum supply entering the passenger compartment through a black hose under the hood on the passengers side close to the AC lines where they go through the dash. There is also a vacuum canister right there. See if you have knocked a vacuum hose off right there.
on the crank behind the front cover
Connect a diagnostic code reader to find out what's going on. That's the only way you'll know for certain. It could be something as simple as a bad air filter or oxygen sensor but the computer diagnostics will tell you what code has been stored.

Not very easily if at all, and why would you want to?

Fuel injected. fuel injected. the 3.8 liter was never carb. it was in the 80's in other GM vehicles
One of the best places to start could be a dealership. If you don't want to go that route you can always look it up using a Haynes or Chilton repair manuals.
It shouldn't idle that high the factory idle setting is around 900 RPM's check to make sure nothing is sticking and check vacuum lines. Good luck fixing your problem.
The mass air flow sensor is located in the throttle body housing on the 3800 engine. There should be 4 screws that hold it down to the housing. Once they screws are removed, the sensor lifts off of the throttle body.

Divide 10 by 38. _ _ ._ _ 38l 100 38 can't go into 10 so add a decimal+zero Then do your basic division. This was coming from a 6th grader.
Remove the cowl assembly. It is easy here is how: Remove the wiper arms and remove the 4 little plastic push pins along the drip rail edge under the hood that hold the plastic cowl cover on. If there is an antenna, unscrew that from the base and pop the cowl cover off. Then remove the 5/16ths screws that hold the cowl pan/wiper motor assembly to the vehicle(I believe there are 10 of them). Lift the cowl pan off while paying attention to unplug the wiper motor connector on the driver's side. You will have to steer it out past the hood hinges. Now you have as much room as you need to do anything you want to behind the engine.
