Yes, A salvage yard can sell cars. After a certain period of time (which varies from state to state), a salvage yard has a public auction of said vehicles. They must be publicly advertised, but as you can imagine, they usually advertise state minimum, as for they buy as many as they can for themselves for as cheap as possible. For the record this answer comes from Indiana, I am sure it varies everywhere.
at your local impound....
Impound will sell your car after the impound fees are higher than the value of the vehicle.
The FBI
how much does it cost to impound a car in Florida for ten days
Impound lot.
Yes, they can and often they do to cover the unpaid balance of impound fees.
If I sell my car while it's in the impound can the new regesitured owners get out before the 30 days
Whatever the lot charges. Most impound lots are private lots under contract. This, fees will vary.
The impound yard will give you their particular requirements. Just give them a call.
Depends on 2 main factors. Amount of the fine levied against you, & time spent in the impound yard. Every day it sits there will cost you more money.
Pay the release fee
It just depends what the impound yard wants to do, if they can't re-sale the vehicle they will probably come after R.O. or the L.O. If the car is driveable and in good condition they will probably sell it and won't even charge the Registered owner.
