YES as long it is out of a TRUCK an not a car.
There is not any. You MUST put the 4L60E back in it because of the computer system that's on the truck. If you put any other trans. in it then the engine and computer system will NOT work right and you will have all kinds of problems.
Any 4L60E transmission. 1993 and up.
NO. The 97 and 96 transmission bellhousing are different then any other years. You must put a 96 or 97 4L60E transmission back in it.
My 2002 Chevy Tahoe 5.3 engine has 187,000 miles and is purring like a kitten! Still have the original trans in it and have never done any major engine work to it. I run Mobil 1 synthetic oil in my engine and change the oil every 5,000. I love my Tahoe and plan on keeping it for many many more years. I am curious how many miles you have on your Tahoe. Good luck. My Tahoe has 250000miles on it and its still running strong. Wonder how long it will last also.
You most likely have a 4L60E 4speed automatic. This a very common trans. The build code for that trans. is M30. Look in glove box for a factory installed sticker listing the build code for that vehicle. There will be quit a few #'s & letters listed.
Any 4L60E transmission, 1993 and up. The mechanical 4L60 and 700R4 from 1992 and earlier will not work.
The battery in a Tahoe is no different the the battery in any large SUV.
Any recalls 2004 Chevy Tahoe
No, there are sever variations of the 4L60E, you have to get the right one. Check with a tranny shop to make sure you've got the right one.
The factory uses the PCM / Powertrain control module to shift the transmission up and down. There for if it is a 1/2 Ton truck you will have to put the 4L60E transmission back in it for the engine and transmission will work right. If it's a 3/4 ton then it will have a 4L80E trans. in it.If you don't want any troubles are head aches. You must install the factory transmission back in the truck.
Pennzoil makes a great product called synchromesh but any GL3 or GL4 fluid will work Pro's like Redline MTL
Lake Tahoe was not made by volcanoes. It was made by faulting. This happened several million years ago.
