What kind of name brands of bottled water can use on your betta fish?
Zephyrhills ...Spring Water...not Distilled, not Drinking...simply Spring Water. Zephyrhills Spring Water! That's all I used for my 3 Betta fish...they lived for quite some time happily blowing bubble nests and more little bubbles around the edge of their bowls. DeerPark Water I believe is the same exact thing although may be less expensive; if you go to each website it will look the same. My mother decided to no longer buy bottled water for her Betta fish, so she started adding TetraAqua BettaSafe to faucet water and cleans the 2 gallon bowl once a week, feeds him his Betta pellet food and also frozen brine shrimp. Her last Betta lived 5 years!

What kind of water do betta fish use?
You should use tap water or bottled water. If you are using tap or bottled water, make sure you buy a bottle of Water Air Contitioner for the Betta. Make sure it says: Betta Water Conditoner, or on the bottle it says it can be used on all kinds of fish. Also, at Petco, they have a gallon of something called Betta Water. You won't need any chemicals for this, they made this water safe for the Betta. Thinking about buying a Betta Fighting Fish or need the right supplies for it? Here is the list of supplies that you will need: -A GLASS bowl. [Plastic bowls might have harmful chemicals] -Betta Water Conditioner [Or a water conditoner that can be used for any kind fish] -Betta Fish Food -Rocks for the bowl -1 or more plants [Betta's love plants to hide in] - A sponge to clean out the Betta bowl [Clean it twice a week] -If you want, you could buy a net IF YOU want to. You could put him in a cup, too. This is about everything you need. By the way, you shouldn't put a Betta male and female together UNLESS its their breeding period. Otherwise, the male might damage the female because males are much larger then the females. NEVER put the same sex [male&male/female&female] together, because they WILL fight. Places to get Betta Fighting Fish: Petsmart, Petco, Walmart Supercenter. If you need to know anything else about the betta fight fish, look it up on www.Google.com , There should be some good sites there. Hope this information is helpful!! Good luck taking care of your Betta Fighting Fish! Bettas are freshwater fish and can be kept in dechlorinated tapwater (buy water treatment from your pet store). However, they do need their water kept clean and warm. It should be changed often, especially if not filtered. A betta MUST be kept either in a room with central heating, or in a heated tank or bowl. The water should not be allowed to drop below 18 degrees C.

Can i put my betta water conditioner in my goldfish bowl?
Which water is better for a betta tap water of bottled?
Regular cold water will do just fine. They don't need aquarium heaters, but they do like it to be anywhere from 65-72 degrees. While they do not respond well to temperature fluctuations, they can handle your tap water pretty adeptly. You only need to dechlorinate it, by using a prepared dechlorinator, or by letting the water sit out overnight to "de-fume". Overall, tap and well water is the best for bettas. If you are unsure about your water quality, bring a sample to Petsmart or your local fish store for a free water test to make sure, and ask their opinion. Bottled, filtered water is too sterile for pet fish. Your fish need the minerals present in natural water. Basically, don't used bottled water. Tap water is fine. If unsure of quality, bring a sample to a pet-store and ask.
How much water is used to make one bottled water?
Generally speaking, each bottle of bottled water is made with one bottle of water. However, this may not always be the case. If the bottle of bottled water is a very small bottle of bottled water, sometimes less than one bottle of water will be used, but on the other hand, if the bottle of bottled water is a very large bottle of bottled water, then sometimes several bottles of water will have to be used to make one bottle of bottled water. I hope this answer is not too technical for you. If necessary, I will simplify it later. By the way, is your name Paris Hilton?
What is a special adaptation on a betta fish and what it is used for?
I guess you are referring to the Bettas "Labyrinth" this is a chamber in the skull of the fish that allows it to 'breath' air. This adaptation is what enables the fish to survive in adverse (low Oxygen) water conditions in the wild. When you see a Betta rise to the surface of the water and take a gulp of air he is using his 'labyrinth'.

Does a betta fish have to have a fish epsom salt?
Epsom salts (MgSO4) is a medicine that can be used under certain conditions to aid in affecting a cure of some intestinal problems of fish. Chemicals should not be added to any fishes water without a specific need. You can't cure a fish of something it hasn't got so adding EpsomSalts to the water will do no good at all to a healthy Betta. In fact it may make the fish sick.
