∙ 14y agoYes, you could be allergic to beer or the ingredients it contains. Beer typically contains gluten from the grains which some people are allergic to. Others have a problem with the hops and can have an allergic reaction to them. There are often other chemicals in the beer which can be problematic. And of course, alcohol is a poison and some are very sensitive to it.

∙ 12y agoIt depends. Some beers contain wheat and others do not. Many beers are made with just 4 ingredients: water, barley malt, yeast, and hops. In others, wheat is the principal grain or is used in some combination with other grains.
