Most beer manufacturers use wheat to add starch to the product. Domestic companies such as Budweiser, Coors, Michelob and Miller all use wheat. There are gluten-free options such as Estrella and O Mission, to name just a couple, for those that have gluten and wheat Allergies.

Yes, you could be allergic to beer or the ingredients it contains. Beer typically contains gluten from the grains which some people are allergic to. Others have a problem with the hops and can have an allergic reaction to them. There are often other chemicals in the beer which can be problematic. And of course, alcohol is a poison and some are very sensitive to it.

It depends. Some beers contain wheat and others do not. Many beers are made with just 4 ingredients: water, barley malt, yeast, and hops. In others, wheat is the principal grain or is used in some combination with other grains.
