- Not only is racial bullying a crime; but a crime against gays or anyone that chooses to be different. Bashing a race of a gay person or anyone that is different is against the law in British Columbia and punishable by the courts. There is a low tolerance of bullying in parts of Canada and the police are involved with specific programs to help those that are bullied. Parents are taking a more active interest and trying to work with the Educational System and bullying will be stopped and especially Cyber Bullying because the police have a task force in British Columbia to track down those that Cyber Bully and considering it is a crime of harassment and mental stress to the victim the Cyber Bully will be in a whole lot of trouble.

∙ 12y agoNo. Private citizens cannot file or "press" criminal charges. Only the state, through the prosecuting attorney, can do that.
If you believe a crime has been committed, you can report it to the police. If there is reasonable suspicion, the file will be referred to the prosecuting attorney's office, who will decide whether or not to file charges.
Making a racial slur is not a crime.
