Yes, You pump from one pump into a second to get a greater pressure boost. Be sure that the pumps and lines can handle the pressure increase.
Improved answer.
The above sounds like a simple series (one pump to another) connection.
This is not recommended - the first pump must have *more* delivery (gallons/minute or litres/minute), or the second pump is likely to "starve" and go into cavitation.
Talk to an irrigation/pump specialist. I solved the problem in my irrigation system by pumping from a bore (well) into a small dam, then from the dam into my tree/crop irrigation system. It was not practical to use the "two pumps in series" design implied by the first answer.
A foot valve, in relation to a water well, is a check valve at he bottom of a well to keep the water from running back into the well from the pump when the pump is not running. If the check valve does not hold the water the pump will lose it's prime and will not pump water.
i don t know. how do u seal a water pump?
The first water pump was invented by the Mesopotamians in 3000B.C
The circ pump is used to circulate the water thru the filter. The booster pump is for running the pool sweeper.
When a pump is pumping water from a level that is below the pump it is called suction head. If the water to be pumped is at a level above the pump, it is positive head. The pump maybe pumping from the base of a tank to a higher level such as an elevated tank or it may be pulling water from a tank that is below the pump. The distance from the center of the pump to the top of the water level would be the foot of head. It takes 2.31 feet to make 1 P.S.I. So if it is 10 feet from the center line of the pump to the water level, you would have about 4.33 P.S.I. of head.
Faulty pump, return it for another.
About $500 to $600 for the belt, and another $150 or so for the water pump.
Yes. Try to find another car in the junk yard that has the type of water pump you want to use and take all the pulleys and brackets from it.
Just had this done yesterday on my 2002. Timing belt about $500, water pump another $500.
One possible use for a SHURflo water pump is for use on one's RV, or recreational vehicle. Another possible use for a SHURflo water pump is on one's marine craft, or boat. A third possible use for a SHURflo water pump is for use in one's personal space.

A good sign of a water pump going bad is noise. It usually makes a grinding sound. Another sign is antifreeze leakage around the water pump. Some manufacturers put a small hole on the top side of the pump so that when the bearings fail coolant leaks out from this hole. Another good sign is high water temp gauge. When the water pump goes bad it fails to do its job of pumping coolant through the engine, hence the high water temp gauge. Hope this helps.
Most automotive water pumps have a weep hole where water will leak out, indicating the water pump is faulty. Another indication is noise (like rattling) coming from within the water pump when the impeller is loose. Another way to check for water pump operation is to remove the radiator cap and start the engine. Keep an eye on the coolant through the radiator neck (DON'T STAND TOO CLOSE). When the engine reaches normal operating temperature and the thermostat opens, you should see the water circulating.
Fuel pump is what pumps gas to engine. Water pump is what pump water in engine
the main one is that the water pump, pumps water and the mud pump decides to pump mud.

A water pump is needed to pump in fresh water.
