the answer is both yes and no. This all boils down to a matter of opinion. here are some really pretty semi aggressive fish that you can more often than not keep with community fish
NEVER, EVER, EVER keep any of these fish. they are beginner traps.
Also note that all fish are different. I had 3 angelfish once, one super fin black angel(Aristotle), one veiltail black angel (Plato), one 'bandit' supervail(Socrates), Aristotle would kill anything he saw, Plato would, for some reason only kill Cory catfish. Socrates, wouldn't kill anything. the worst she did was eat my plants....
Know your fish! if he's mean as heck, don't put him in, simple as that (also, make sure you put them in while theyre juvenilles to prevent increased aggression)
Most people could write a book on this but I'm going to stop here
not really but they are not a community fish you can put them with semi aggressive fish like parrot fish but they can not go with tetras
Any community fish type ,they should labled. dont put simi aggressive or higher or they will be gone.
The Betta is a semi-aggressive fish, and I typically keep other semi-aggressive fish with them.. namely, angel fish. They're not getting along.. they're just deterred from attacking each other because they know the other will fight back. DO NOT put any sort of barb in with them.. even though barbs only are considered semi-aggressive, it's a bit of an understatement, and they LOVE nipping at long fins.
Angel fish are types of cichlids and are considered semi-aggressive and often are fin nippers.
Yes you can.
other cichlids or other aggressive fish
Most freshwater tropical community fish will get along with African Dwarf frogs, as well as some of the more docile tropical semi-aggressive fish (i.e. tank-raised bettas, rainbow sharks, red-tailed sharks, rosy barbs, bala sharks).
Kissing gouramies grow quite large (about 12 inches) so they need to be housed in large aquaria. (Minimum of a 4 foot tank). They are good community fish and can be kept with just about any other reasonably peacefull fish.
non communal they should not be put with other fish
No...betta fish are usually aggressive and might kill the angelfish.
You put minnows or other fish well im not sure
Yes if they are big enough to fit in their mouths. If you have fry in with an angelfish or other semi-aggressive fish, it might be a good idea to put in a tank divider or separate the fry in a grow-out tank.
